  1. Powerful Engines

Ram trims are available with five powerful engines, including a mild hybrid and a diesel. Engine options include:

  • 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 with eTorque: This 305-horsepower, mild-hybrid engine can produce 269 pound-feet of torque and has a towing capacity of 7,410 pounds.
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 with eTorque: This 395-horsepower, mild-hybrid engine can produce 410 pound-feet of torque and has a towing capacity of 11,320 pounds.
  • 5.7-liter HEMI V-8: This 395-horsepower gasoline engine produces 410 pound-feet of torque. Properly equipped, the HEMI V-8 can tow 11,410 pounds.
  • 3.0-liter Ecodiesel V-6: The 260-horsepower diesel engine produces a maximum torque of 480 pound-feet. Trucks equipped with the Ecodiesel engine have a maximum towing capacity of 9,360 pounds.
  • Supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8: Only available on the TRX, this 702-horsepower engine produces an incredible 650 pound-feet of torque. The HEMI V-8 has a zero to 60 mph time of 4.5 seconds and a maximum towing capacity of 8,100 pounds.

The standard transmission for all engines is a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic. The TorqueFlite is highly fuel-efficient and can handle high-torque towing.

  1. Air Suspension

The available Auto-Level Rear Air Suspension includes Ram’s Bed Lowering Mode. Bed Lowering Mode makes trailer hookup easier by dropping the rear suspension three inches and the trailer one inch. Activating Bed Lowering Mode is quick and easy through the touch screen display.

  1. Monitoring Tools

Ram’s advanced monitoring tools make hauling and parking a trailer easier. Monitoring tools include:

  • Trailer Light Check: When activated, the Light Check system checks your trailer’s brake, reverse, left turn, and right turn lights to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
  • Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System: This system provides live tire pressure readings. This system can monitor up to four trailers, with 12 tires per trailer.
  • Trailer Camera Prep: Adds up to two auxiliary cameras within or on your trailer to provide extra visibility.
  • Center High Mount Stop Light Camera: Mounted above the rear window, this camera provides complete trailer visibility and dynamic gridlines when in reverse.
  • Surround View Camera System: Ram’s advanced camera system provides a 360-degree view of your surroundings. Surround View uses four cameras in the tailgate, side mirrors, and front grille. Images from cameras are displayed on the dashboard touch screen. You can also zoom in to images up to four times by pressing the magnifying glass icon on the touch screen.
  • Trailer Reverse Guidance: This system makes backing up with a trailer easier by providing adjustable camera views of your trailer and its surrounding area. Images from the side-mirror cameras are displayed side-by-side on your touch-screen display.
  • Digital Rearview Mirror: The available Digital Rearview Mirror provides a live-stream video from your rear-facing camera, providing a complete view of the area behind your truck, even when the bed is fully loaded.
